This truth is the incredible reality that Odysseus and his journey did not take place through the Mediterranean. The famous battle of Troy was in fact no where near Turkey. Homer makes us visit the magical realm of the god's with Circe and Calypso, he takes us through Odysseus' incredible battles with Polyphemus the Cyclopes, the loss of life when facing the devils of Scylla and Charybdis, and his visit to the place of the dead where he meets all the ancient heroes of Greece. However, these events may not even be from Greek origin.
